Attachments
How attachments work
Drag and drop files into the composer, or use the plus icon in the composer to upload them. After you send the thought, the files are added to the documentation.
Cortee uses the files as context when it turns the thought into a working document, and ready files stay on that document.
If a file is not available while the note is processed, you see an error asking you to reattach the file and try again. The note text is kept if a file error occurs.
Where they are displayed
When a document cites a file, it can show up in the body or only in the attachments list. Cortee decides what is important enough to show as a direct reference.
In the body
- Images (JPEG, PNG, WebP) appear inline. Click to open the full file in a new tab.
- PDFs and text files appear as a download style link. Click to open in a new tab.
The attachments list
An attachments list at the bottom of the document shows every file, including:
- File name
- When it was added
- Who added it
Click a chip to open the file. Hover or focus to delete, and you will be asked to confirm.
What you can attach
Supported file types
- Images: Uploaded images are analyzed with AI to understand their content.
- PDFs: PDF files are parsed for information.
- Text files: Text files are parsed for information.
Constraints
- Max file size: 10 MB
- Up to 10 files
Deleting attachments
Deleting from the body
To move, remove, or add attachments in the body, instruct Cortee to do it. That does not remove the attachment from the document itself.
Deleting from the document
Hover over the attachment at the bottom of the document and click the delete icon, and you will be asked to confirm.
