Page references

As you type in the composer, Cortee creates page references for you.

What a reference is

A reference is a single fact taken from a thought and attributed to the person who captured it, which makes it clear where documentation comes from.

Each thought that needs anchoring is assigned to you as the creator and shown next to the changes, so you do not create references by hand.

References show why a document includes specific information and who suggested a change. Because each fact is tracked on its own, references also help when you later restructure a document (restructuring pages), and undoing a change removes its references.

How to view them

Hover over the reference icon at the end of any paragraph that has one.

When there is no icon

If there is no icon, that text has no underlying claim. This often happens for:

• headers
• paragraphs that only connect other sections
• sentences that do not state a specific claim
